Hey guys, So Arc Captain reached out to me and wanted to send me their Mig200 welder for me to go over, make a video on, and give my thoughts. I happily accepted so I’ll have my thoughts here, and you can watch my youtube video to get the full review.
GOODS
-Very capable multi process machine. It can Flux MIG, Gash Shield MIG, Lift TIG, Spool Gun aluminum weld, and Arc Weld.
-Easy to switch modes
-Screen is busy but displays a lot of information
-Relatively small and portable welder
-220 or 120V capable
-High Quality Arc Welding Whip
-Euro style MIG whip
Could be Improved
-my only complaint really is the lift tig torch. I feel that it could be more robust and would be much better if you didn’t have to manually turn the gas flow on/off
Overall Thoughts – This unit is a great entry level welder, the synergistic welding function works well, and there is a nice chart that gives you some good starting points. There is a light in the wire feeding area that’s super helpful. I love the welder and will continue to use it on projects in the future. I think anyone who is looking for a welder that they want to learn on and can continue to use as their skills grow this is a great pick.
